38 weeks down....

38 weeks down and 2 more till the actual due date but she is ready to roll according to the Dr so anytime now.... Hopefully its sooner rather then later.

Fingers Crossed!

The Nursery

We unfortunately live in a rental house at the moment so I was unable to paint or do any major designs for her nursery but all in all we are happy with the results.

I didn't want to make it too "girly" or too "babyish" so I would end up having to change it down the track when she grew out of it.

We decided to purchase furniture that would grow with her so the crib turns into a toddler bed by removing the rails and her change table can be removed off the set of drawers.

I am alarmed by how many clothes she has ended up having but I take no responsibility and believe it or not, I have actually purchased very little in the clothes department for her. She has been very spoilt at her baby shower with lots of generous and beautiful gifts and fortunately Nick has been given lots of hand me downs from friends at work who have had girls that no longer need the smaller size clothes.

Two Little Lines

It all starts with those 2 little lines and ends 40 or so weeks later. When those two little lines show up everything changes.....

I am now 38 weeks along and it has been such a smooth pregnancy. Apart from the typical heartburn issues and some sleepless nights, I have had a dream pregnancy.
Fingers crossed the labour goes as well!!

I am now off work and relaxing at home waiting for her arrival. Nick and I are so excited to finally meet her.

Welcome!

Welcome all reader's of Ruby's Blog!

Some people have opinions about sticking personal information and photos of their children on the internet and I am usually one to agree but seeing as we are 12 hours+ from majority of our family, Nick and I thought it would be nice to create something for those that are not "facebook and instagram savvy"and they can just hop on & catch up on all her progress as we all know how quickly they grow!

Not to mention, I dont want to be one of those mother's whose facebook page is just constant updates about her child and every dribble, smile and spit up incident is posted on there.

So enjoy!
